About the Mediator
Patricia Dawson is a Certified Mediator in Family Law, Circuit Civil, and County, she is also an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association’s Consumer Panel. As a mediator, Patricia Dawson has mediated well over 50 mediation involving insurance claim matters.
In addition to alternative dispute resolution, Ms. Dawson has been practicing law in Florida State Courts since 1994, and she is licensed to practice in the Federal Middle District Court of Florida.
Attorney Patricia Dawson is devoted to advocating for her clients in and out of the courtroom. As a Criminal Defense attorney, she has handled criminal matters involving murder, racketeering, drug trafficking, life felonies, and other criminal
matters.
Prior to establishing the Law officer of Patricia Dawson, P. A., Patricia Dawson was a Deputy Chief at the State Attorney’s Office of the Thirteen Circuit. As a Deputy Chief and Prosecutor Attorney Dawson tried and negotiated cases involving murder, racketeering, drug trafficking, life felonies, 10-20-Life, and many other criminal matters.
Attorney Dawson is committed to the legal profession, as exemplified through her participation and leadership in legal organizations and associations. She is Chair of the Florida Bar Criminal Law Section Executive Council, former Chair for two (2) years of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of The Florida Bar, former Chair of the Communication Committee of the Florida Bar Criminal Law Section, former treasurer of the Communication Committee of the Florida Bar Criminal Law Section, Chair of the Hillsborough County Sickle Cell Association, and is a member of other legal and community organizations. She is a former member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of Florida
Bar, immediate past Chair of FAMU Medical Marijuana Education and Research Initiative (MMERI) External Advisory Council and former board treasurer for the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc., (CDC) (The CDC provides single and multi-family housing from new construction to rehabilitation and involved in commercial construction projects.)
